As it says really.

DS has had ongoing constipation issues since starting solids. Now on movicol and under the care of a paediatrician. He physically witholds.

DD has just startes solids - last 2.5 weeks and hasn't had a poo for days.

I don't think I can stand going through it all again...

Any advice welcome. Any hand holding also welcome.

Feel like having a good weep, I've watched my beautiful baby boy struggle forever, don't want to watch my beautiful baby girl go through it as well.

I haven't really got much useful to say except that I know how you feel as my dd (now 3.9 years) has suffered from a newborn and has been on movicol from about 1 year old. It takes over your life. I have wept many, many times for her. I also have a ds (17 months) and in the early days, I thought he was going to suffer as well...but it turns out he is completely the opposite which is a relief...I really don't mind changing 5 or 6 dirty nappies a day...the more the merrier in my view!!!! Here is the good news for you hopefully though....my dd IS getting better the older she gets...and funnily enough, improved A LOT when I potty trained her. I thought it would be the opposite and it would make matters worse, but in fact she seemed to be a lot better. I still have to really encourage and bribe her to go but we are getting her finally. I feel for you but get help for your dd early rather leaving it till it becomes painful and turns into a psychological problem. Big hugs.
