chest sticking out ? puberty boys

I've noticed than ds1s sternum has started sticking out so it looks like he has a point in his chest.
He is having a massive growth spurt at the moment, anyone had experience of this?

Sounds like you're talking about Pectus carinatum. I don't really know much about it but saw a case of it on Embarrasing Bodies program.

If you google it you should get more info.

thanks Iron I had a look,
but its only just appeared, wondered if anyone elses ds had done this in puberty.

It can be there at birth, it can appear after an operation, or it can develop during puberty.

Have you considered scoliosis (curvature of the spine). This is something that can also develop during puberty (which is a period of rapid growth) and can cause deformities.

I developed scoliosis during puberty resulting in one hip being higher than the other.
