we were supposed to be off to my parents to meet whole family and it would be the first time my two kids would meet their cousin (3months old)

DS2 has come down with high temp, bit of a cough etc. we are SO desperate to go and see everyone but i cannot take an infectious child to see a 3 month old.

just waiting for out of hours doc to ring us back

No, but we're just home from a 5 day holiday where we didn't manage to go a single day without someone in our group puking.

If I'd have known that in advance I'd have cancelled it!

Hope your ds is ok, it's shame to cancel your plans. How soon will you be able to rearrange it for?

DS2 still poorly so DH has gone with DS1 to my parents house. No idea what it is yet - out of hours doc couldn't find anything wrong (ears and chest ok) but he is very lethargic, tearful and high temps.

oh well at least i can start sorting the loft out!

Hope your family stop puking - everyone seems to be getting that at the moment!

fortunately DH is off so we are splitting fun activities with the 2 older DDs and looking after DD3

fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for you all

Not quite easter plans, but am seriously fretting about taking 7 mo DS on flight with 2 changes to the U.S. on Monday! He's just over an ear infection (I hope!), was treated with antibiotics last week. But now seems to have developed a barking cough in the last two days and his nose is all snotty again.

Up till now it was the first time he'd ever been ill.

Was visiting friends for a week last week and took him to a walk in centre to get ears checked again (he didn't seem well). They looked at me like I was mad and said he was perfectly healthy. But since then the cough and snot-nose started again and I'm debating trying to get out of hours appointment today to get him checked one more time before we fly. PFB?? Moi??

Getting very nervous this end, as we have a cottage booked in Brittany for next week, and ds's hips have been bad on and off for the last month: not sure he can cope with the drive from St Malo. And what do we do in a Breton cottage if he can't sit upright to get into the car?

FreakoidOrganisoid · 04/04/2010 11:38

Yep

DS had d&v last week and now dd has it

AND it's my birthday today and I had plucked up the courage to invite some mum friends round for drinks this eve in the hope some of them might become real friends and I've had to cancel.

It's not our DC's that are ill, it's me and DH . We're going to Crete on Thursday and it will be hell if we still feel like we have done the past couple of days. Going to the docs on Tuesday for AB's.

Happy birthday to Freakoid and Pixie's DD2 - what a miserable place to spend her birthday

i am getting fed up now - been on my own for 48 hours and motivation to sort house out is waning (i have done all the toys, the washing, sorted the freezer, tidied the entire house, ordered clothes for everyone)

bit bored really....

hopefully DH and DS1 coming back tomorrow morning

Happy Birthday to your dd2 Pixie. Hope she isn't feeling too down about spending it in hospital.
