Twitches in 5yo - what should I do?

My DD (5) started arching her neck and looking over her shoulder repeatedly last August on holiday. It lasted until around October and then seemed to stop. Prior to this she has been a throat clearer for a long time. I mentioned it to her teacher who said that she had noticed it once or twice but that's all so I assumed it was just a phase.

Last week, she started the same thing again. This time she has noticed it (my turning around thing) and is getting quite upset.

What should I do? Is this just a thing that children go through or should I take her to the doctor?

How often is your DS having these twitches? My ds started with similar but at around 7 yo. Twithches seemed to change and alternate. Eventually went to GP and referred to a psychologist and was diagnosed with Tourettes Syndrome. He was prescibed medication, and tips to cope with the ticks. Now 14 yo and ticks have virtually disappeared, although sometimes come back when he is stressed with exams etc. I hope I haven't alarmed you with all that! Keep an eye on her and go to GP if you are at all worried. Mine were brill and really supportive and school have been great too!
