Hi everyone, I posted last week as dd1 had come down with chickenpox and had some very good advice. It appears she has been lucky and hasnt had a very severe case, infact all her spots had crusted over by yesterday. Have kept her off school again today - aparantly half her class have it and am reluctant to send her back too soon and possibly start another round of it. Ive read conflicting advice - some say once all spots have scabbed child no longer infectious, others say 7 to 10 days after first spot has appeared which would be wednesday at the earliest. Do not wish to be an over-anxious parent but also do not want to be responsible for anyone else catching it. What should I do? Many thanks!

HPA recommends they are kept off for 5 days from the onset of the rash
