Worried about 8 years old missing tooth!

Hi, can anyone help? My 8 year old lost one of the teeth beside her top front teeth about 2 months ago, and I have just realised a new one hasn't grown in its place - she lost a few teeth over the course of a few week.

I can see there is a permanent tooth in the gum but it's showing no signs of cutting through. I am taking her to the dentist but in the meantime does anyone have any experience of this?

My 6yr old DD lost a top front tooth on NYE, still no sign of the adult tooth. This week she lost the other top front one and then a bottom one! 3 gaps in all and no sign of new teeth!

If the tooth came out before it was ready - ie with help - then the other tooth won't come until it is ready.

Why not take her to a dentist?

DD is same. She is 8y next week. Lost one of her top teeth ages before Christmas, then another one not long after. The last one to fall out has grown back, no sign of the other one yet. Hers fell out with no help, etc. It came out of its own accord. Must have been the tooth next to it (the secnd tooth out) that knocked it out maybe?

DS lost his tooth in August and only this month got the next one.
