Does anyone know of a virus going round that's causing a very high temp and severely bloodshot eyes?

well- my dd had a v heavy cold last week, and she had a temp, and gunky eyes which became conjunctivitis (mainly because she's only 4, and cannot keep her hands clean or out of her nose or eyes)
She recovered pretty quickly though- temp went next day, conjunctivitis 3 days, so hopefully your dc will recover quickly.

That is what my DD has!

Does she have a bad cough too?

Have you seen a doctor yet?

My DS has similar although temp not particularly high. Go to the docs for the eyes though. Nurse practioner said if eyedrops didn't work he'd have to have antibiotics. Is there redness around orbit? If so get to docs asap.
