Swollen, red penis...Should I call NHS direct?

DS (25mths) has developed a swollen, red penis which i'm assuming is an infection.

He's OK in himself but is obviously giving him some discomfort when he bends etc.

Question is should I call NHS direct or will it wait till monday? I know it doesn't seem urgnt but i really don't want it to get worse.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Don't leave it until Monday, it will be painful for him. Give him some ibuprofen and get him seen by the out of hours.

Ds1 had balanitis recently. Take him in. It will resolve quickly once he's on the meds.
