DS keeps periodically getting red cheeks, lots of dribling (shirts get quite wet) and lots of loose poo all at the same time. it really can't be teething as his last set of molars came through 8 months ago. he also has trouble sleeping during these times but will settle with a nurofen and bottle of very cold milk. he is 2.6. it usually lasts for about a week and then can be abything from 2-6 weeks until it starts again.

childminder suggested it could be a soer throat, i think it might be tonsils but to be honest i would like to know for certian so i can stop it happening or give him somthing that works.

DS1 did this at that age and ds2 is now doing the same. We put it down to not teething exactly but his face and jaw growing and his teeth moving into place (supported by dentist). We took all the usual teething precautions including pain relief at night. If you're worried I'd pop him to the docs though
