Help! Toddler sick every fortnight..

Please help so I don't feel so alone.
My 18 month old has been sick every fortnight since the beginning of January (coming up for 4 months soon).

He has sickness and runny bum. It can last for about 10 days then it starts all over again.

It always seems to start with a cold, runny nose and cough. This time he got pink eye too then 2 days later it's runny bum and throwing up.

He began daycare in mid-Jan when I returned to work part-time.

We keep taking him off milk then putting him back on.

The Dr's say its all viral. In fact they have put a note to the Health Visitor that I go too often ( I have not been each time he's ill but I am desperate now). We have been referred to the hospital but still waiting to hear ( 2 weeks later - is that the norm?).

Anyone else known anything like this? All we do is cancel the fun things to hover around with the sick bowl.

I'm afraid I can't help with this but DD's had one thing after another since January so I know how wearing it is to have a sick toddler almost constantly. She's currently on the 2nd round of a fever bug that gives her massive fevers but only at night The doctors just say to wait it out but ... not that easy.

I hope someone comes on with some proper advice

Has your DS lost much weight? surely that would be cause for concern if he has? I reckon that's out of order for the doctors to put that you go too often...better that than ignoring something dangerous surely!

He is disappearing... He was around the 80th centile but is now about 10.

When well he eats fine though he is very behind on his eating... he don't do lumps but then again he doesn't really get the chance to wean well with all this sickness.

So they're not worried about how much weight he's lost? That's a huge drop! Can you see another doctor/go to another GP's or pester the hospital?
I know you've probably tried all sorts but if you can find some kind of finger food that he likes it'll make getting something down him easier. DD is still a fan of those Heinz biscotti and started eating them at about 6mths so they break up easily when slobbered on.
I'd definitely pester someone, that's not right at all. Sorry it's so difficult for you, I really hope someone takes an interest for your sake!

Today I have been on the phone to the HV and the Dr. Told them both this can not be normal. They have independently suggested an allergy - maybe dairy/lactose connected?

So going to put a post in there to see if anyone has any stories on symptoms that are similiar to ours..
