Pulsating neck in toddler

Is it normal?? It really does bulge noticably. He seems ok although has been off colour (v.tired and grumpy) for past 2 weeks?

Something to get checked or am I just being paranoid mother (as DH says )

DS's does, must admit I've never given it a thought until now!

Which bit? There's two arteries on the sides (one on either side) called the carotid arteries and they carry blood from the heart to the brain, it's normal. Maybe mention it to the HV if this helps.

It is definitely his carotid - it's just that you can see it pulsating from across the room!
