Teeth... reassure me this is normal!

My eldest has his first wobbly tooth. He is 7.5 so is quite late, however apparently this is common in children who are late getting their milk teeth as babies (he was toothless until 10 months).

However... although the tooth is wobbly, the new tooth has almost fully grown behind it without the milk tooth falling out Does this mean that the new tooth will have grown in the wrong place? It is currently out of alignment with the others. Or will it come forwards into the gap once the milk tooth eventually falls out?

DH thinks I'm worrying about nothing, but I am having a bit of a PFB drama over it!

My dd had this with most of her teeth. Dentist said it's not unusual, nothing to worry about.

Yes, new tooth will move into the gap once the milk tooth has gone.

TY Sparks, that's exactly the reassurance I needed.

Now, off to find the next crisis...

My adult canine came out above the baby one- without dislodging the milk tooth. So it looked like a fang.

I can't say I would recommend the vampire look as a ten year old.

They took the baby one out and the canine slotted into place - no probs.

However on the other side the adult canine has not yet descended and I still have the milk tooth

That tooth fairy better pay up when it finally comes out.......

Its fine, my DD (5) has exactly the same with two of her bottom front teeth. Dentist assured me it is v. common. One of her milk teeth has now fallen out and the adult tooth behind has slotted into the gap. She still has a double row next to this of adult + milk tooth.

Pammy.
