Just a growth spurt?

DS2 (20mths) has recently started being very very tired - 1 hr afternoon nap has now become 3 hour morning nap. he's up at 6am ish but is so tired by 7pm.

he is also very grumpy and clingy and tearful - not all the time but much more so than usual. This could just be toddler tantrums starting but he also wants to just lie on the sofa and watch nightgarden. When he is ok he runs around as usual but this is much less than normal

Even nursery has commented that he's more tired and needy than normal.

he continues to eat loads and loads and loads

just a growth spurt?

Does he look pale, bruise easily, get out of breath on exertion? These are worrying symptoms. If none of these probably nothing to worry about but I would get GP to check him over anyway. Has he started nursery in the last 6 months - could be he's a bit overwhelmed with this as it can be stressful to little ones. If its a growth spurt has he recently grown/put on weight. Maybe he's just like us and had lots of coughs/colds etc and just needing a bit of nice weather to come along and perk us up a bit

He sounds ill to me to be honest, I do think that you should get him checked over. With a groth spurt they just eat, they are not lethargic and clingy.
