dd has a brn inhaler and a blue one seldom used.
i kinda cut back on the preventor , to maybe once every two days. my mistake big time.
she has a chronic cough since sunday /late saturday and i had a doc on call at 11pm sunday night for her , who prescribed steroids for three days, finished the lat dose this morn and i dont really see an improvement. she s on the ventolin 3 times a day 2 puffs as well.
she now has a headcold, god love her, shes wrecked. any advice before i head to the doc am?

dunno about treating the cold etc, but make sure you get straight back into the routine with the preventor if that is what she has been prescribed.
My dh has quite bad asthma and I can tell when he hasn't been taking his preventor properly, but it usually sorts itself out again if he takes it religiously for a few days.
Do you think it's just a coincidence that she has got a cold which has agravated her asthma? I don't think the cold/cough would be caused by not taking the brown inhalor?
Once she is better, maybe you could make an appointment with asthma nurse to discuss the preventor and make sure she is on the right dose of the right one?
It took till my dh was in his 30's to get his preventor right so that he hardly needs to take his ventolin, but it takes a good asthma nurse to match up the right dose etc to each different person!
