On and off since wednesday dd has been saying she has pain along her knicker line, on the left side. i have checked, there are no bulges that would indicate a hernia, tho it's the first thing i thought of. It's flat there, no redness.

She can't remember falling, but I do worry becuase she has always had flat feet, and toes in when she walks. On the other hand, the toeing in etc... has been much worse when she was younger and she never had painthere before. She would sometimes complain of a more higher hip pain.
She was born with a clicky hip on that side.

Has been ill with loads of viruses lately. is now in bed crying, so what to do next. have given Calpol.

Could it be a bladder infection?

i too thought bladder infection! She assures me it isn't 'like the cystitis i had last yr mummy'
can a bladder infection hurt along the top of the thigh?

I have spd, so I too understand the strain thing.

I have gleaned some evidence tho, she says she has been 'doing karate kicks' in the playground. Plus we went swimming yesterday, so maybe it's pulled as you say?

She was okay this morning but we had to go to town and after walking around on hard pavement for about half an hour that's when she started to say it was really hurting.
