Flying after chest infection? Any advice

My dd aged 4 is still recovering from serious chest infection/pneumonia which has needed 2 courses of antibiotics so far. She still has chest crackles after 1 week and is seeing the doc again on Tuesday. We are meant to be going on a weekend break Thursday night with a 4 hour flight.

Is it safe to fly recovering from chest infection? Obviously I will check with docs but in meantime, I wondered if anyone had any advice / experience?

She doesnt normally use pushchair but is very weak still so think we should probably take it. What do you think?

you will have to report it to your holiday insurers because if she gets worse whilst you are away, you will have to pay all the costs. if you have a look at the small print...i think you have to report any visit to the gp within the last 6 months.
Both my boys got pneumonia one year whilst we were skiing and we had gp's visits to the hotel......glad i was covered.

Not sure if i would travel if she still has crackles.
sorry if that doesnt help
