My 2 week old baby and I have both caught a cold. We're bunged up and sneezing, with a slight cough. I'm just very worried and could do with son advice/reassurance.

I would monitor their temperature and if you are at all concerned give NHS Direct or your GP a call for advice. It's better to phone up feeling a bit embarassed about being seen a psycho than worrying yourself sick. Although I'm sure your little one probably won't have a high temp. at all.
To relieve snotty symptoms when they are so tiny I would suggest that you raise one end of their moses basket so there is a slight tilt - gravity helps get the snot out and always helped my son sleep better (we put phone books under the legs of the stand). When mine was 4wks old he got a horrible cold and the doc suggested a saline nose drop - a natural way to loosen up the snot and make him more comfortable, but check with the pharmacist. Hope they get better soon!

We have used the Calpol saline spray thing on DS2, once quick squirt up each nostril is brilliant just before feeding to clear his nose so he can feed properly.

Yes raise cot as well.
