Hello
DD is nearly 1 and is unwell. Need to take her to docs in 30mins as there is no other choice to get her looked at. SHe isnt being sick regularly but has been so there is always the danger she will chuck in the waiting room.

Any advice on what to do/ take etc to help prepare for this?

I am a novice with pukey babies and have moderate vomit phobia so anything to help would be appreciated.

Thanks

plenty of wipes, carrier bags (in ideal world to catch sick, but more likely as useful receptacle for dirty clothers/wipes etc), muslins and spare clothes for you and her. and sympathy - DS was always a very pukey youngster - a PITA even when you don't have a phobia. IME people tend to be surprisingly tolerant of and sympathetic to puking kids, or at worst will grit their teeth and pretend to be sympathetic.

Bag of small bath towels and lots of wipes plus plastic bags for the soiled stuff. No point in taking a receptacle of any kind - they will never puke IN it.

PS. if you can try and sit away from others in case it's anything catching!

I take a washing up bowl when mine are likely to be sick and sit the ill one on my knee with the bowl under his chin. So far have been lucky and only had sick in the bowl!

Thanks Ladies
I've packed myself a jute bag with a bowl lined with nappy bag and paper for puking, wipes, clean clothes etc, kitchen roll, plastic bags and an old towel
I wearing old sweatshirt that I will have to just take off.

Fingers crossed for me that she keeps it in!
