DD 2.8 threw up three times starting around 5pm yesterday, and last one was around 11pm. She woke up in a quite good spirits and didn't eat or drink much, just enough to keep her hydrated - water, milk, half banana, and tiny bit of toast the whole day. She normally has great apetite and never throws up. She said she was tired and went to sleep around 5:30pm and just woke up 7pm crying that her tummy hurts now for 20min. Writhing and rubbing tummy and constant crying. Just called doctor to see what we should do but if anybody know if norovirus can do this I would appreciate it. I thought you just throw up, but she seems to be suffering from some sort of tummy pain - severe enough to wake her up (she sleeps 11 hours straight normally).

ehmmm she's now off to sleep again...doctor will call in an hour they said so I'll ask him and maybe get doctor to see her tomorrow at my clinic if she isn't well. Is there any nice tasting fluid thing I can buy for her to drink tomorrow so she has enough salt and sugar in her body even if she doesn't eat again?

hmm thanks for the replies. If she wakes up again with stomache cramp they say it might be appendix...!! So I might need to take her in. But I'm hoping not...thank you.

There is a bug going round that causes vomiting and stomach pains - almost everyone I know has had it. DD had stomach pains (on and off) for around three weeks after vomiting.

I know there is norovirus going around...so I'm hoping that's all and not her appendix..but you know I'm just being paranoid and scaring myself over nothing probably...poor thing is moaning as she sleeps now.
