Dd2 has not pooed since sunday, she had a tummy bug last week and has only pooed once since being poorly. She normally goes once a day (sometimes misses a day), i give her lactalose but its not working. She's starting to get lathargic and looks pale. Should i take her to the GP's today or wait a day?

I wouldn't say it was unusual in general but if it's unusual for your DD, why not take her? GP might have some good ideas, anyway.

I don't really know but I think if I were worried I would take her along to the GP. I think the longer you leave it the harder it will get for her to shift the poo! Are you giving her lots of orange juice, dried fruit etc etc?

I think i will give it 20 minutes (as she's trying now) and if no sign of anything i will phone the GP, she's crying with the pain (like she's in labour, i wish i could help her . She eats dried fruit and fresh fruit every day.

You could try getting her to do it in a warm bath? I have heard it can help.

She's been but still very upset. I think i will take her to the GP tomorrow as it seems to be an ongoing problem.
