My 4yr DD has a tummy bug- is there anything I can give her to ease the tummy cramps- Though of giving her Calpol but not sure if will help, not sure she could keep it down long enough either.

Calpol not effective for tummy cramps-you are always best to let tummy bugs work their way out tbh...using warm packs can be effective...there are drugs like buscopan but they are prescription only and unlikely to be of great benefit in your situation...avoid brufen as this can irritate a gut further...

Thanks- have given her just 1 spoon of calpol, and it does seem to have stayed down so far- she says tummy's feeling better, but might be placebo effect I think. She does have a slight raised temp so hoping the medicine will bring that down as well.
