How long to babies colds tend to last?

My DS (16 weeks) has a nasty cold all of the coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, spluttering you would expect from a cold. I can't tell if he has a temperature or not but does feel a bit warm to the touch (have felt him hotter, but that's usually during a crying fit). He's had it since Thursday and was just wondering if babies colds run 7-10 days like adult ones, or longer or shorter? I haven't given him anything but have been doing all of the other treatments raised basket, nasel aspirator now and again, steamy bathroom, etc.

Any other tips/suggestions greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

Olbas oil - couple of drops on a tissue near his bed will help him breath better

And calpol before bed/naps (you can use it from 3mo)!

Honestly - the wee soul might be in pain (my dd1 has a cold and is able to say that her mouth/throat hurts - dd2 (10mo) has the same cold so I reckon her throat hurts too - she is less cranky after Calpol).

Hope your ds feels better soon - it is horrible when they are so teeny and ill.
