ds2 is almost 9 months and over the last month he has had about 6 high temps. he is teething but i just wanted to know if it was common to have a high temp this often. it is usually about 39.2 or above.

How much time is there in between the high temps? Enough for it not to be some underlying infection that he is fighting all the time? What are you using to bring it down? You can mix calpol and baby ibuprofen/calprofen to make sure it does go down; it's really not good for wee babies to have such high temps so often. What does your doc say?

Make sure you get his ears checked - ear infections are often triggered by teething -

thanks, he had another high temp last night. i have asked the gp to see him this afternoon.

i use calprofen when it is up.

it seems to be happening anywhere between 2 nights in a row and up to a week apart.

I just took my babt to see dr for the same symptoms (also thought it was teeth) and it's a throat infection, better check it, it's not always teething.
