?

Because dd2 has spent the past 3 days eating the bloody stuff, we have had some colourful nappies and she seems ok.

Will she be ok if she continues to eat it? its keeping her busy .

I wouldn't let her eat it, but OTOH I wouldn't dash to A&E if she scoffs a little bit.
Think she should stop, sorry, if nothinhg else it's been lying around for ages gathering bacteria.

StealthPolarBear · 17/02/2010 14:54

does that ruin your dinner plans? sorry

LynetteScavo · 17/02/2010 14:58

TEh official shop stuff isn non-toxic, so you'll be fine.

The home-made stuff made with loads if salt can cause vomiting. I ate loads one day at playgoup to show off, then threw up.

(I was a child, not there with my own DC)

I did wonder LS...

It lidl own brand i think, it does smell rather nice (tempted to try a bit myself). Dd2 puts most things in her mouth (she has Autism) so she has a good immune system. She only eats tiny amounts at a time (the rest is spread across my floor), maybe its time to take it off her.

Stealth- it doesn't ruin dinner plans, she eats like a horse.

Make your own with flour, a little vegetable oil and water and food colourings, it'll last about a week if you fridge it in between.

PotPourri · 17/02/2010 15:18

I don't think you shoudl let her. It's got nasty colourings and aloto of bacteria. Not the end of the world if she does eat it, but really not something you should allow imo

Can i make it without the salt in it?

I never put salt in mine for that reason and it works just fine.
