Cut inside mouth on lower lip

My daughter has just fallen and cut her lip on her bottom teeth, there is a nasty cut and a flap of skin is pushed up. Am I best just to leave it, i'm a little concerned as I don't want it to heal unevenly.. any suggestions?? Thank you

When my daughter did this, I used her baby brothers bonjela teething gel to soothe it! LOL

It was amazing how fast it healed on its own and it didn't scar at all.

However if it looks very bad, take a wander down to children's A&E for a second opinion...

I did this a few weeks ago (was helping DD put her pyjamas on and her head and my chin collided).

Was very painful for about 5 min and bled quite a bit but has healed fine. If it is troubling her then maybe take her to see doctor/nurse.

thank you all. i did pop to a and e as she had also knocked her tooth. she was ok, they pushed the flap of skin back down and it should heal fine.
