Both DSs have conjunctivitis and was unable to get to GP, but DH rang and GP said use Johnsons shampoo and water Anyway, he got some eye drops on the way home which me and DS1 can use, but does anyone know if it would be OK to use them for the 17 mo ? I didn't know if it was one of those things that is OK but isn't licenced etc. I am BFing the 17 mo but supply is dwindling and not sure I can give him a good enough squirt and my nipples are very painful ATM (pregnant). Thanks

I would hold off for now and get ds2 to the gp in the morning.

Any little drop of bm that you can express will be better than nothing for now.

dont share the same eye drops as it is very contagious. The over the counter product does not have a license for under 2 so you are supposed to go to the gp for chloramphenicol

Just FYI, the Johnson's baby shampoo and water isn't crazy. I tend to get blocked tear ducts which results in swelling and huge amounts of gunk and I've had 2 eye doctors tell me to swab them out with Johnson's and then rinse. Granted I wouldn't want to try it with any young DCs....

Hope you're all on the mend now. I hate conjunctivitis.
