Started toilet/potty training dd in the last week as she has now decided she wants to try, but have noticed she hardly ever urinates.

Her nappy from last night was pretty much dry, well it was dry and so far as yet today she hasn't urinated once, surely she shouldn't be able to hold it for so long??

Anyone else experienced anything like this, help!

Firstly - how much is she drinking/eating and has it differed from when she was in nappies?

Secondly - how many wet nappies did she have in a day before and just how wet were they?

Thirdly - are you sure she's not got a wet corner in another room? It happened here!

Fourthly - monitor this for the next 24 hours. You may find she is holding it in but will only be able to do that for so long. You could also increase her fluid intake.

If it is abnormal for her, and continues for the next 24 hours then i would call nhs hotline. Urine/lack of urine holds all sorts of medical implications.

She is drinking the same as usual really. I know she IS peeing as she did it all over the kitchen floor yesterday

But even the days she has been in knickers she has only had at most one accident a day. Thought it was a bit odd but her nappies were never overly wet or needed changng very often.

When she does go it's a flood. So is it just that she holds it for too long/can hold it longer than most?

maybe good bladder control - easy potty training!

is wee light or dark coloured? is she ok in herself otherwise?
