Hi

My 2 year old DD has had very loose mucusy poo for about a week now and has done about 10 poos today. I have also noticed a very tiny bit of blood in the mucus on her last poo.

She appears ok within herself, but is hungry all the time because she is pooing so much. She is drinking too.

I have taken a poo sample today to take back to doctors tomorrow.

Any ideas about what is going on? and am I Ok doing poo sample today and taking it to drs in the morning.

DS had this from Christmas day to NYE. It turns out he downed a pint of custard when no one was looking and developed a short lived intolerance to dairy.

Possibly just a stomach bug, have you been feeding her as normal through out? That can cause it to continue for longer than it would if she stuck to an easily digestible diet.

Hope she's better soon.

Thanks for that.

I think I will change her diet tomorrow. She has been eating as normal. Any ideas about what to give her?

The difficulty is that she is hungry ALL the time!

BRAT diet.

Bananas, rice, apples, toast (no butter).

How she feeling today?

Bless you for that.

She has had less trips to the potty today (3 in total) but her poo is still very peculiar, runny and mucusy. Took sample to docs so will wait and see the results on Monday I think.
