Three weeks ago DD (4) was sent home from school after vomiting.

Although, she got over the bug really quickly, (demanding food by bedtime). She has been complaining of tummy ache every since.

At first, I thought she was trying it on as an excuse to come down after lights out.

But yesterday her teacher mentioned that she's been crying and complaining of pain at school.

GP said it could be constipation (which I don't believe) He's also taken a urine sample.

Anyone have experience of this?

It may be totally out of context but when I was a child, up until my mid-teenage years I used to suffer from tummy aches and sometimes it was so bad that I used to cry curled up in bed. There was no obvious reason other than cold! Especilly when my feet gets cold, I used to have tumy ache / some spasms. The remedy was to have hot water bottle pressed to my tummy in bed and resting a bit, then it would go away.
So I learnt to keep my feet warm in all weather conditions. It was not restricted to cold feet alone, it used to happen when I am cold in general anyway but feet was the most sensitive.
Even in a hot summer day on the beach, after coming out of sea, I used to have tummy aches, until I am warm again all over.
I don't know when it stopped but I assume gradually when I was in my mid-teens.
Now I don't get tummy aches like I used to have even if I am out in the cold.
Maybe irrelevant, maybe not.. but I also read recently somewhere that tummy aches are very common for little girls (and remember article specifically mentioning not coomon for boys as such).

As long as urine test comes clean, it would be nothing to worry too much I would say.

Perhaps you can see if pressing hot water bottle hepls.

Anyhow, all the best.
