Just wondering how common it is to have a nebulizer when little one's have a chest infection. My 2.5 yr just had one and I am little freaked out by it. At the time I didn't quite realise how much he was struggling for breath, but in hindsight I should have taken him straight to the docs. So, is it normal procedure?

I wouldn't say it was normal but it's not completely unusual either. Some children have a tendency to get very wheezy the minute they get a cold or infection (even if they aren't asthmatic).

Hope he is starting to feel better. Breathing problems are frightening for parents!
