My 5year old DD lost her 2 bottom middle teeth around 6 months ago (about a month apart), but there is no sign of her adult teeth coming through yet. Don't children usually lose their teeth because the adult ones are coming through? Her gums are 'bumpy' as though the teeth are coming through but they've been like that all along. Am I worrying needlessly? I've heard that sometimes the adult teeth don't form at all! Should I take her to the dentist to get x rays? Anyone had experience of the adult teeth coming through so late after the milk teeth have gone?
thanks...

Has she ever been to see a dentist? It is a good idea to start dentist visits every 6 months from a young age so if she's not been seen by dentist yet I would book in.
