DS (7) is very fortunate in that he is rarely ill. So of course if he's under par, I imagine all sorts. I am sorry if this is panicky PFB stuff.

He's very tired at the moment (had residential trip a few days ago) and got very cold playing football earlier. He had a hot bath before bed (had been looking a bit peaky which I put down to being tired). In the bath he had a tummyache and said his head hurt and started to cry, this is unheard of.

Anyway, he doesn't seem to have a temperature or anything else nasty but his head really was hurting. I gave him some calpol which seemed to cure the tummyache which was coming and going and he wasn't sick but not the headache. Eventually I got him to bed and he is deeply asleep now.

I think he's just completely overtired and just needs some rest. Would any of this worry any of you though, I am a bit at sea and obviously fussing.

I wouldn't worry too much, just don't be surprised if he vomits during the night. Think there is a "bug" going about that starts off just like this.

thanks for coming back to me. It didn't seem like an emergency thing at all but you know what it's like...

I'll stand by with a change of sheets. Last time he was sick in the night, he wanted to sleep in our bed, so DH moved out to the spare room !

headache + tummyache sounds like the bug that swept through our family last week.
