temp different in each ear why?

my ds has been unsettled all night just got him up now to do his temp as he is crying. in one ear his temp is 36 in the other its 39 i have given him calpol because his body is quite hot. does this mean he probably has an ear infection with heat being localised? would appreciate any advice thankyou

Nurofen is much better with ear infections.

thanks coldtits. i will try the nurofen in an hour if calpol doesnt take effect.
