DS7 sore willy and foreskin problem - help

DS1 has a willy infection, which he has been given cream for.

But he said that his foreskin is not going back enough for his age, he is 8 at the end of May.

It may be because it's a bit swollen due to the infection, or the doc said he may need an operation to loosen the skin a bit or be circumcised!

I am a little bit OH MY GOSH about it. DS is totally laid back about it, obviously not knowing what may be in store.

Have your boys ever had experience of this?

My sons is tight, he used to get periodic infections. We taught him to always wash well with soap in that area. Also giving a salt bath can help with the infection.

My friends son had the op and it was fairly uncomfortable after the op, lots of care required.

Hope he gets better soon.

If worried about the tight foreskin, you could also ask about trying steroid cream for 6 months, this might help (e.g. daktacort which has some anti-fungal as well to avoid foreskin inflammation).
