Hello all!

ds1 aged 17 months had his mmr 14 days ago.
i think he may have had cold/flu at the time but didn't get symptoms till 4/5 days later then had runny eyes, cough went totally off food and drink and started randomly screaming.
He had a low grade fever which has just gone, but he is still not himself and is waking screaming all through the night, eating a little but nowhere near normal.

He is normally really healthy and eats like an adult!
Should i take him to the docs, or is this normal for mmr? someone said hat symptoms can last for ages with it, but he has never reacted to the other shots he had before.

any experience would be great, thanks in advance!

Honestly, I think you should take him to GP. This doesn't sound normal to me - particularly if he had no problems with other jabs. I hope he's ok.

ok, no apps left today so will get him in tomorrow.
God, i hope i haven't left it when i should have taken him in earlier, just didn't want to be panicking mum.........

Having a low grade fever and being off food a bit wouldn't concern me unduly, as they can be related to the vaccine.

But the cough, runny eyes and screaming are not normal side effects, so I think you should take him to your GP. He may well have an underlying infection somewhere.
