My 3yr DS has been treated for worms twice before but this time we don't seem to be able to get rid of them.
I'm totally grossed out by it and distraught that despite all my best hygiene efforts we are having such trouble with it.
He got them from nursery and as not all the children have been treated, it has reoccurred. Twice before the whole family has taken 5ml of prescribed meds but I am sure he's got it again. Apart from complaining of an itchy bum we've also had him awake in the night (v unusual behaviour for him).
I know I prob need to get him to the GP but i only remember each night and the past two days have been so hectic we couldn't have gone anyway.
Does anyone have any similar experience- are some meds better? Do you need to do follow up doses? What about 7 mth old babies- she hasn't been treated before...
(Driving us bonkers...but practicalities of dragging two DC to our doctors surgery for an hour's wait in a hot stinky room fills me with dread... We go often enough for the critical stuff)
