Constant sickness in 6 yr old

DRAGON30 · 19/01/2010 21:47

My Daughter ( age 6) is often sick - anything from 1 to 8 times in 24hrs. It's only a small amount each time, and seems to bear no relationship to what she has eaten, or what she is doing. She is a very happy, confident child, so it is not a nervous disorder. She has seen a paediatrician, who put her on Omeprazole (20mg) to reduce her stomach acid - this is often used for reflux. It makes little difference. This has been going on since July. We are due to see him again on Monday. I was wondering if I should push for some tests etc. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Probably not the same but I was a sickly child for aroudn a year and it turned out I had a rumbling appendix

Thank you! I will mention the appendix thing when we go to the hospital on Monday. It is really starting to worry us now - DD was sick SEVEN times at school today! She seems to be perfectly well otherwise - but it just keeps on happening. For example, this evening she was just sitting down, quite relaxed, chatting and watching TV, then up the stuff comes, and she has to run to the loo. It can occur just after she's eaten, hours later, or even during meals. Any other thoughts on probable causes would be really welcome.
