Persistent nappy rash

in my 6.5 month twin girl. She is teething so it's expected but it refuses to budge from her 'front bottom'. Tried Metanuim which usually works a treat, and giving lots of nappy-free time, to no avail. We use Tesco nappies and twin boy has no similar problems. Any suggestions please?

You may need to get some fungal cream from docs if its persisting that doesn't mean its anything serious I had this with my first cleared up really quickly (canisten cream) maybe you can get from chemist?

so you think it maybe thrush Henrietta?

nope just another type of common rash they sometimes get who knows how though couldn't say for sure obviously havn't seen it, but I use Metanium on all rashes as soon as they appear (usually from contact with poo that has gone unnoticed for a short while) if that doesn't work by the next day I use the canisten & its gone. (unless its just a slight one then I use savlon/sudacream) Metaniums brilliant for most but if it persists, it needs something else.

only say cos I tried everthing being a green mum to figure out why I couldn't get rid of this rash that didn't seem to be irritating her washed terrys in hot boil wash etc changed back to softer detergent, stopped using all freebies in baths etc. to find it was gone within a couple of days of using canisten.

say any doubts get doc to check, or MW but don't think they can prescribe.

she could have thrush or ammonia dermatitis. Canestan, daktacort Hc or a really good barrier cream like siopel or conotrane is superb. You can get them on prescription

This sounds weird, but my German midwife told me about it and it works! Some potato flour used like talc is the best cure for nappy rash I've come across.
Good Luck.
