Could dd be anaemic?

Dd is 4.9. She sleeps for 12-13 hours per night, yet some mornings she sobs to go back to bed as she is tired.

At the risk of being labelled a paranoid mum (again!) should I ask the GP to check it out? I don't want to put her through having unneccasary bloods done.

Should she be this tired?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I have the same problem with DS 5.6, I am off to the GP (without DS) to have a chat to him tomorrow. I also brought some children's vitamins with added iron.

I think you ought to get her checked out.

Massivepants, how did you get on with your GP? I give dd Minadex tonic twice a day plus a multi vit. Her diet is pretty good, although she doesn't eat any red meat, she does have fish and dried fruit.

heQet, I have made an appt with GP for Tuesday. Have looked at your profile.

I am pretty sure that, as dd is quite active and not presenting as being ill, the doc will try and fob me off.
