Toddler sick this morning, does it sound like a bug or catarrh?

He suddenly produced a few very small pools of milky looking spit (he had a bottle of milk at 8pm last night) there was no coughing, not really any retching. it just looked like he was spitting on the floor but there was too much just to be spit iyswim.

He seems utterly fine apart from that,
I've just given him some water this morning, haven't had breakfast yet. Does it sound like a tummy bug or catarrh? He has had a cough, it made him throw up once the other day but that was after loads of coughing and retching. Tia

Gave him some toast with a bit of butter at noon, he took a couple of bites and threw up again. It's clear "slime" - does it sound like a tummy bug or just a build up of mucus from his cold? I don't know if I can give him anything for it or not.

My DS threw up 6 times before Christmas, quite a lot of it, no undigested food just loads of white gunk, happened every time he had a drink for a period of about 6 hours(I didn't give him food incase it was a bug) He had a cough for about a month before hand.

It was all the catarrh coming up, his cough was much better afterwards.

Thanks for replying, smallships! I hope it is just catarrh and he isn't feeling too bad (he's 2.5 but not very verbal yet, can't tell me) I've just been giving him water, I spose I might try him with some more toast or something light later.
