Does DD need to see the Dr?

DD has just turned a year and is a bit unwell.

She's had a mild cold since before Christmas and the runny nose never seemed to clear up!

Since Saturday she's been much more unwell - more tired/sleepy than usual, really runny nose, chesty cough and since Sunday has had a temp that peaks about 38.8 and then falls back to just over 37 with calpol. She's also a bit grouchy and more cuddly than normal. She's not a great eater normally, but her current appetite isn't much worse than a "normal" poor spell.

So how do I know if she needs to see the Dr? How do I know if this is simply a cold and cough, or if it has developed into a chest infection?

TIA xx

Use your mummy instinct all the way here. If you,re worried a quick trip to Gp def. in order, then peace of mind or treatment.

I can't decide if this is something that she'll just get over, or if she is actually a bit sick, so am off to GP at 4. Fingers crossed it's just a cold x
