Bloody stools during chemo, should I worry?

DD, 5, who is undergoing chemo for leukaemia has a bit of blood in her stools. It's not a lot and there are no other worrying signs like high temp and no other bleeding except for cracked lips due to the chemo. Should I take her to the docs or wait til Monday?

I have no advice, but wanted you to know that there's someone here - would NHS direct help? Sorry if that's a stupid suggestion.

anyway just to update, i rang up the a&e at the chemo centre and they said to bring her in, just in case. but they sent us home again after they determined that she had no fever, was not vomiting and was not bleeding continuously! waste of time going all the way to the centre which is about and hour away, and waiting 2 and a half hours, but i suppose it's better to be safe than sorry

do you not have macillian nurse you can call, i dont know how we got though the days following dh without them. If not there are macmillian nurses on Macmillian website and you can email them HTH
