Viral rash/penicillin rash

Do either of these rashes have a timeframe?

DD had a virus which then led to her getting an infection. She had penicillin but then got this awful rash. I stopped the medicine but then wondered if it was in fact a post-virus rash. Anyhow, a week on and she still has it
What's normal? I'll make a gp appt but it'll be a few days before she'll get to see us.

this exact same thing happened to my ds. his rash was on his back for 5 dyas. is it calming down or is it just as bad?

If it's an allergy to antibiotics, anti-histamines such as piriton should take the rash away within a few of days (my DS is allergic to erithromycin).

Sounds like a viral rash, but you should definitely get it checked by a doctor asap.

I'm allergic to pencillin. If it is that the rash will be all over the place including palms of the hands etc. Ooooooh, just makes me itch thinking about it.

Oooh, sorry FGT!
Your answers make me think it's a viral rash then, as it's only on her legs and tummy. It was pretty red and angry to begin with and it flared up last night again, although today a bit better. (sorry, droning on...)
I gave her piriton on three different occasions when she was scratching it.

Thanks for your replies. Perhaps a new thrilling update from me soon!
