how can i clear mt 16mo snotty nose?

he has a cold, can hear all the snot bubbling up there. he doesn't understand the concept of blowing thu nose. can i use any of that sinex stuff on a q tip?

I wouldn't, no and doubt it's suitable for anyone under a certain age.
Not much you can do apart from try to encourage nose blowing and your ds will probably do his best to try even if it's with mixed results!
Don't try and stick anything up his nose, but have tissues handy and just keep wiping.
Holding his nose in the tissue and gently pressing the outsides of his nose as if he's blowing it will help some to loosen and come out.
Eeew!

have you raised the end of the bedcot a bit for him so any mucous can run out of his nose rather than back into his throat? That might help. A few drops of olbas oil on a tissue in his room will help too.
Hope he gets better sleep again soon.

I used one of those noce suckers baby nose clear or something. You do have to suck hard but it works - oh and well wrap their arms when they are bigger so they can't move. DS used to go mad but he was a much hapier bunny when done! They sell them in Boots and all over the show!

well, it is a little tube that just carfully sits in their nose.......you can imagine the rest....KEEP STILL YOU WILL FEEL BETTER fortunately DS age 2.3 can now blow his nose....wether me pinning him down helped him get it

will try and get one of those suckers but we are snowed i here no getting in or out, and I dont want to take him out when its so cold, will know for next time. have got sone saline drops which just make him even more snuffly.
i know about the wrapping arm up they start fighting when i come near him with a tissue!
