eye test for 3hr old DD

Hi everyone, just a quick query , i and dh wear glasses, my eyes are particularly atrocious, from a very young age,
i have noticed her watching her (limited pfb emocion) tv time as always being as close to the box as she can - but i dont know if this is childlike behavr ,iyswim or if she has some probs
what will an optician do to test her eyes please? as obv she cant read or write yet

DS had his eyesight tested at 2.5 - they show them pictures and ask them what they are - really very simple and quick.

DS had his done via the HV as I had concerns about squinting as I do and all my family have terrible sight, so she referred us to the orthoptist who checked everything out
