DC and keratosis pilaris

My DD is 11 and was diagnosed with eczema as a toddler but it has never got better with any creams and Ive always said to the doctors that it just doesnt look or react like eczema.

She has small bumps on her face and upper arms, and it gets a bit worse in the colder weather, I have been looking it up online and have found pictures of people with keratosis pilaris and it looks exactly the same as what she has.

I have looked up treatment for it and it looks like something she might just have to live with, but I was wondering if anyone elses DC had this and had they found anything that helped it at all?

At the moment she just puts an Oilatum cream on every morning during winter, it doesnt seem to do much though?

Yup, worse in winter cos central heating dries out the skin and because cold air of atmosphere is drier (can't hold as much water.)

Calmurid cream (another moisturiser like oilatum) is said to be good.

My dd now adolescent and her skin is much better. No spots on face now, and upper arms/thighs not too bad.
I had it as a child too(but not face) and it has almost disappeared.

Both my boys have it and so do I, I just ignore it, my older boys skin has improved alot. I dont even bother to moisturise as it seems to make no differnce, there is a website about it with loads of reccomendations on it.
