How concerned should I be?

Dd has been saying her tummy hurts every so often for several weeks. I thought it could be due to her eating bread sometimes twice a day. Have cut this down but has made no difference.

The pain is around her tummy button mainly. Also, she doesn't wee much although she drinks plenty.

Dh took her to the doctors today and was advised to reduce her dairy intake and dd was prescribed lactulose

She isn't constipated although she doesn't go every day, but I have never been concerned about this as I figure it is what is natural for her.

Am reluctant to give her lactulose as she would be mortified if she had an accident at school.

Any advice would be most appreciated. She is 4.8. Thanks.

if it's only been going on for a few weeks, could she be fighting off a bug and the glands in her stomach are getting a bit sore and swollen?
