Am new here, so hi

Am a bit worried about DD, 2 years. TMI... after breakfast this morning, she was attempting to do poo, but was clearly struggling, and said "ouch poo" few times. She seemed to pass it reasonably ok in the end, after 1 or 2 minutes of wondering around the house straining.

Changed her nappy but noticed that there's a little skin colour thing about the size of a small pea sort of coming out of her bum

I read that piles in children is very uncommon, do you think it was something to do with the straining? Never noticed anything like this before with her.

She's fine in herself now. Any advice is much appreciated thanks.

It could be a little skin tag, or even a tiny prolapsed bit of the rectum. Piles are unlikely, but if you are worried see your GP.

If she is a little constipated make sure she is drinking lots of fluids (water or diluted orange or apple juice) and encourage lots of fruit and veg. Dried apricots are great for constipation and most children will eat them as they are sweet!

does sound like a tiny hemorrhoid. Go see doc or try some lactulose to make poo soft

If she knows she needs to go, she might be positioned better on a potty? which may help a bit.

Thank you all for your advice. She went again later that day and it had gone! Not sure what it was but it's gone now and she's fine

Thanks
