Infected Toenail..?

DS (7 weeks Wednesday) has puss under his big right toenail, its a bit bloody at the top, and the whole toe is red, swollen and warm. Still waiting for six week check - am going to go to doctors first thing tomorrow. He won't let us put him in a romper suit, so is currently in soft trousers and booties. Any advice, please? TIA

the nail has probably grown into the skin at the side of the nail. have you cut his nails at all or are they still untouched f to the touchrom birth. If it is warm as tough said,he will probably need Abx. You could always use cooled boiled water with a tiny bit of salt in it til tomorrow.
