ow long a booster vaccine (Prevnar) would take to boost my DS's antibodies? He had the jab on Monday.

Am asking as he has a cold and the last time he had a cold he had pneumonia. He has had to have the booster as his antibodies to pneumoccus are slightly lower which is probably why he got pneumonia. Am worried about taking him to a family party later where there will be 40+ people if his immune system has been lowered from having a cold.

I know I can't wrap him in cotton wool but just nervous after all he's been thru.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks.

how old is he and how many doses has he had?

Sorry for late reply alypaly, not been on for a while.

He is 19 months and had 1 dose (as well as the usual baby vaccines that probably included this).
